Dell Technologies World (DTW) 2025 brought together around 15,000 clients and partners in Las Vegas in May 2025, creating an electrifying atmosphere as Michael Dell, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Dell, unveiled groundbreaking new products and significant enhancements to existing technologies. With hundreds of breakout sessions and a large Solutions Expo, there was something for everyone to learn from and enjoy.
Enterprise AI adoption:
The week was packed with discussions centered around enterprise AI adoption and how Dell is bridging the minds of traditional technologists through product announcements, new chips, data integrations, software capabilities and partnerships, and tying that back to how Dell is adopting AI as an organization overall.
Data readiness and AI at the edge:
A heavy focus was placed on AI at the edge to the data center, with data readiness being a crucial topic in almost every AI conversation. Dell’s Chief Operating Officer and Vice Chairman, Jeff Clark, emphasized “making AI real” during his keynote, highlighting rapid advancements in GenAI and significant investments in the AI sector. Dell continues to advance its customizable reference designs with Dell Validated Designs and reference designs for GenAI. Enhancements include integration with Dell’s Data Lakehouse and storage platforms to simplify data management for GenAI workflows.
Dell AI Factory:
Despite 65 percent of organizations having AI proofs of concept, many face challenges in scaling and getting AI to production due to high costs, lack of AI related skills, and inadequate data management. Dell AI Factory, a comprehensive reference architecture designed to integrate GPUs, scalable storage, high-throughput AI fabric and NVIDIA GenAI software to make it easier for organizations to adopt AI and drastically improve the success rate of moving AI initiatives from concept to production. With Dell AI Factory, Dell is targeting three key segments: traditional AI, large-scale GenAI, and mainstream enterprise AI.
Storage:
Dell PowerStore was a focal point, being the first Dell array to be automated in the DAP/disaggregated infrastructure. Dell Powerstore Advanced Ransomware Detection will help validate data integrity and minimize downtime using AI analytics.
Dell PowerFlex 5.0 introduces a new layout for improved resilience and capacity. Dell also introduced the PowerScale Cybersecurity Suite for enhanced data protection and ObjectScale for scalable object storage in large data centers.
Project Lightning is claimed to be the fastest parallel file system, designed for large AI deployments with high throughput needs.
Data protection:
Dell announced the PowerProtect Data Domain (PPDD) All-Flash, enabling high-performance backup and recovery. It also improves post-backup scanning in cyber vaults, enhancing cyber recovery and resiliency. Dell also showcased its next-gen data vaults and cyber protection architecture which include these innovations:
- Air-gapped Vaults: Isolated environments for secure backup and recovery.
- Built-in Threat Detection: Intelligence-driven monitoring embedded into storage platforms.
- Zero Trust Architecture: Emphasizing immutability, isolation, and automation across data protection workflows.
Collaboration with NVIDIA:
Dell AI Factory continues to advance with NVIDIA’s strategy, integrating NVIDIA AI Enterprise software and NVIDIA Spectrum-X networking. New announcements include NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition in Dell PowerEdge XE7740/45 and the XE9780/85 series for air and liquid-cooled data centers.
